v1.3.8 — Camera transitions

  • Camera layout changes now glide into place instead of cutting. Choose Smooth, Pop, Flip, Spin, Twirl or Bounce and how long it takes in the Camera tab
  • See your sound on the timeline: the Screen lane shows your voice and system audio, and audio and video clips show their waveform

v1.3.7 — Zooms with one click

  • Click anywhere on the Zooms lane to add a zoom right there
  • Start the recording from the strip under the area or window you picked, on any display
  • Switching sidebar tabs shows that tab's settings at the top

v1.3.6 — Smoother zooms, undo everywhere

  • Zooms ease in and out more gently out of the box (1.2 s each way)
  • Undo and redo (⌘Z, ⌘⇧Z) work wherever you are in the editor, the sidebar included

v1.3.5 — Clearer 4K export

  • The free version tells you before exporting that 4K needs a license, and offers the 1080p export instead

v1.3.4 — Cleaner recording start

  • Start a recording with a project open: what you're recording stays in front, the editor stays behind

v1.3.3 — Easier caption fixes, bigger cursor

  • Fix any word in your captions with a double-click; right-click a word to start a new line there or join lines.
  • See how far transcription has got, with a progress bar; your next transcription starts right away.
  • A bigger cursor by default, easier to follow in your videos.
  • Reset a project's style to the defaults from the Style menu.

v1.3.2 — Update your saved styles

  • Changed a saved style? Keep the changes with Style › Update, in one click.
  • When saving a style, pick an existing one to update or give it a new name.

v1.3.1 — Put your watermark anywhere

  • Drag your watermark, or the Made with mark, anywhere on the video.
  • Mute your recording's sound with one click on its timeline layer.
  • The side panels now scroll just as far as their settings go.

v1.3.0 — Video editor

  • Open any video and edit it: add captions, zooms, text, shapes and more (File › Open Video…, or the Dock icon's menu).
  • Add arrows, lines, boxes and circles that draw themselves on (Add › Shape).
  • New text looks: Label, Pill, Beast, Boxed and Marker, with a background box and rounded corners.
  • Your style carries over: new recordings start with your last background, watermark and captions. Save styles by name and apply them in one click.
  • Text and emoji you add now appear in your exported videos.
  • The eye on the Screen lane hides the recording, and the Made with mark can go in any corner.
