Download Screen Famous for Mac
Free mode is built in: record as much as you like, export up to 60 seconds at 1080p with a small watermark. A license lets you remove or customize the watermark and lifts the limits whenever you are ready.

Needs macOS 14 Sonoma or newer.

Open the downloaded file and drag Screen Famous into Applications. On first launch macOS asks for Screen Recording permission (and Camera and Microphone if you use them) — grant it in System Settings, then relaunch the app once; macOS only applies the permission to newly started apps.
The app updates itself: Sparkle checks for a new version on launch and installs it in place.
